DAY 1: ARRIVAL HO CHI MINH CITY (-/-/-)

 

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Welcome by our guide and transfer to hotel.

Hotel check-in time is after 14:00pm. Rest of the day is leisure (no car and guide), you can enjoy relaxing with hotel facilities or exploring hotel surrounding.

 

Lunch and dinner by guest arrangement.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

 

DAY 2: FULL DAY CU CHI TUNNEL – CITY (B/L/D)

 

Breakfast at hotel. Our car and guide will pick-up you at the hotel.

 

Drive to Cu Chi, a suburban town one-and-a-half hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. Going down a short stretch of the tunnels to experience for a moment how the former guerrillas lived and fought during the war. 

 

You will have a lunch on the way drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Then, the tour starts with an exploration of Saigon’s turbulent past with visits to the Reunification Palace, War Museum. The tour continues to offer you the excellent examples of the French colonial architecture with a visit (outside) to the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House. Finally, the tour ends at Ben Thanh market, where you may practice your bargaining skills. Return to your hotel.

DAY 3: FULL DAY MY THO (B/L/D)

 

Breakfast at hotel. Pick-up will be from your hotel at 8:00am by your guide and driver for the day.

You will then set off for the approximately 02hour drive to My Tho, a Mekong Delta town. On the way, stop to visit Vinh Trang pagoda. 

 

Mekong Delta is also known as Vietnam’s ‘rice basket’– a fertile area spreading nearly 50,000 sq km. Here the mighty Mekong river ends by splitting itself into nine major tributaries. The Vietnamese name these nine tributaries “Nine Dragons.’’ 

 

Following this you will board a boat for a cruise on the Mekong river, whilst sailing you will be passing natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen’s port and the traditional stilt houses. Keep your camera handy!

 

On arrival you will stop at Thoi Son islet in province of Tien Giang which has now become an ecotourism site. However, few people know that today’s Thoi Son is thanks to the endless efforts of local people to develop the isolated isle into one of the region’s go-to destinations. You will explore this region and its delights before returning to the cruise boat by small rowing boats through a short stretch of waterways.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

 

Breakfast at hotel, free and easy to check-out time 12:00 (noon).

Transfer with our guide to the airport for departure flight.
